Back to my 1-hour poetry writing

I have, no name

Reminiscent of a 300-year old architectural building
I cling to the past
Gripping so tightly it’d collapse
With gritted teeth it escapes
Fluidly memory chimed
A sombre time; easy, blase
Cactus prickly grunts
onto the red shirt that loosely clung
your neck Your strength
clasping mine,
“I’d wage war for you” you said.
Careening into abyss; is this bliss
A gentle lid to your Sybil lips

Trese sirkulo
Kumakanlong sa ulo mo
Giniginaw gumagalaw tumatalon
Lalaglagan
Ikaw ba
Linangin sa umaga
Gabi’y paparating na
Sa huling hudyat
Bigyang daan
Talino’y bibighani
Sa panibagong bukas

Kaya kong magsulat ng matatalinghagang salita
Nang paulit-ulit-ulit-ulit
Mapaumaga, mapagabi, tanghali
Dapithapon
Hanggang utak ay dumugo
Pipigain, pinong-pino
Gigimbal, ganun na nga siguro
Sige na tigilan na
Sisinghaling pagdurusa

Another hour
Trickling down rivers
Umbrellas closed; set aside ghost
Cream in coffee
We live in toasts
while you grind in 2s and 3s
Laughing out grief
Reliving mischief
of old days; time grown into ravines
Tying our guts
Into rumpelstiltskin knots
Gleeful seeds, relaying sins
We hide in tidy closets.
Prop paper-mache dreams
on shiny desks
Lacquered creeds. Give us our fill
As monochromatic bridges
Slowly fall in

making sense is overrated
give me a glimpse of a senior sedated
cramped inside the hospital crib
breeding regrets in his cracking knees

Hoping this isn’t the first and the last for this year haha!
